We had fun at our summer party where we dressed as Pirates.
As part of our topic of “Caring for ourselves, each other and the environment”, we arranged for some visitors from Morrisons supermarket to visit and give us a talk on different fruits and vegetables. The children were able to try lots of different fruits, breads and cheeses.
4 of our chrysalides opened to reveal beautiful butterflies. The children were able to see the butterflies before we released them into the garden. (June 2019)
We have been watching our caterpillars turn into Chrysalides.
Shapes around us
Our topic has been shapes around us. We’ve been reading ‘Harry and his Bucket Full of Dinosaurs’. We’ve had lots of fun sticking shapes.
Sowing the seeds
Thank you to our families who attended our Partnership event at St Oswalds School. The aim was to encourage early talk and communication. We had lots of information about sharing books with your children as well as art and craft activities, free refreshments, a visit from the Dental Nurse and help and guidance from York Family Learning.
